Orange Crate Painting

I'm not a huge art person, but I liked this guys art right from the moment I first saw it. Ben Sakoguchi has been doing this a long time. He was born in the late thirties and painted professionally for 4 decades. His orange crate paintings are amazing to me. The colors along with the content are just, well, great. What can you say? Another blast in the east village at the Booga Sugar show. They packed the house yet again at the Red Lion on 151 Bleeker St. They got things started with "Dance Floor Whore" and continued to kick ass until the early morning hours. They're cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" almost sent the packed house into a rioting frenzy. If your ever in the NYC area when these guys are playing and want to catch a great show, don't pass on the opportunity.

another must have. Tracks #2 and #5 are my
favorites and Ben Harper's acoustic version of
"With My Own Two Hands" is amazing. Just
remember you have to reduce, reuse, recycle!

Blizzard 2006

Record snowfall in Central Park on Sunday. Tought I would go to the park today and take some pictures. Here's a cool pic of a snow covered stone bridge. They said it was a blizzard and there was over 25 inches of snowfall. I disagree. I'm not complaining, it made for some great photos.
